Regular physical education, inter-house games and inter-school participation — sport is part of every week at Manjushree.
Manjushree girls take home the national trophy from Nasik
A proud moment for the school and the town of Sira — our girls travelled to Maharashtra, played their hearts out over three days of national-level competition, and came home with the winners' trophy. Watch the highlight video from the tournament.
Three days of inter-house competition — kabaddi, athletics, running events and prize distribution — bringing our four houses of Hoysala, Kadamba, Chalukya and Rashtrakuta together on the school ground.
Four houses. Three days. One school ground alive with running, cheering, kabaddi and celebration.
Sport at Manjushree is not just about winning trophies. Physical education is a regular part of the timetable, and every child takes part — running, playing and learning how to work as a team.
We believe that the habits built on the playground — fair play, patience, turning up on time — are as important as the ones built in the classroom.
A mix of individual and team games, matched to age and ability.
Sprints, relays and long-distance running.
A game of strength, strategy and lung power.
Quick reflexes and teamwork in equal measure.
Coordination and communication under pressure.
Stamina, positioning and playing for the whole team.
Quick footwork and hand-eye coordination.
Shot put and discus for senior classes.
Breathing, stretching and calm — as important as competition.
Once a year the school turns into a stadium. Inter-house competitions, march past, races for every class and prize distribution — a day parents and children look forward to.
Those are the habits we hope every Manjushree student carries beyond the school gate.
You do not need to be a champion to play at Manjushree — you just need to turn up.
